Regional magazine scores Centennial Trail | Sports & Recreation

The region’s Centennial Trail has been scored as one of the best bike paths in the western United States. Sunset Magazine placed it in the #8 spot in their top 20 list published in their most recent issue.

They recommend changing the trail’s name to “Tour de Spokane County”, but we somehow doubt that will happen.

Better name might be the Tour de Spokane County. On this ride, you'll get a glimpse of the suburbs, Gonzaga University campus, downtown, and rural countryside. Simply pedal along the contours of the glistening river—at times, running parallel to I-90—from the Idaho state line to Nine Mile Falls (it's a short, easy hike to the modest 50-foot falls) and Riverside Park.
