Voter's Pamphlet art contest open for Washington students | Events
The Office of the Secretary of State is calling on Washington artists in the 4th & 5th grades to submit designs for the 2014 Voter’s Pamphlet. The winning design will be featured on more than 3.2 million copies of the pamphlet and will be sent to every house in the state during the General Election this fall.
“This is truly a spectacular place to call home,” said Secretary of State Kim Wyman in a blog post about the contest. “It’s always inspiring to see students share why they are proud to live in this great state.”
This year’s theme is Happy Birthday Washington! celebrating the 125th year of statehood. A state since 1889, the Secretary of State encourages students to learn more about Washington’s history and about what the state was like 125 years ago.
All entries must be received by April 16th. Click HERE for entry forms and a complete list of rules.
