E. Washington lawmakers host telephone town hall meetings | Events
Eastern Washington lawmakers are back in Olympia and they want to hear your thoughts on the issues that impact you most. There will be two separate telephone town hall meetings hosted by different Senators and Representatives.
The first telephone town hall meeting will be on Wednesday, January 22nd, beginning at 6:15pm. Senator Andy Billig, and Representatives Timm Ormsby and Marcus Riccelli will each give a brief overview of this legislative session and will then answer questions.
Constituents of the 3rd Legislative District will receive a phone call at 6:15 pm inviting them to stay on the line and participate. Anyone who does not receive a phone call can call in to 1-877-229-8493 and enter 18646 to participate.
The second telephone town hall meeting will be on Thursday, January 23rd, with Representatives Kevin Parker and Jeff Holly.
The telephone town hall will begin at 6:30 p.m. and last one-hour. At any time during the call, 6th District constituents can call toll-free (800) 278-6179 to join the conversation. They will have the option to listen in, or press * (star/asterisk) on their phones to ask a live question of their representatives.
“Our telephone town halls are a great way to utilize technology to stay in touch with the folks back home and really get a feel for where they’re at on some of the critical issues we’re dealing with in Olympia,” said Parker, R-Spokane. “The feedback and participation we’ve had from these events has been phenomenal. I hope Sixth District residents are able to tune in.”
The 60 day legislative session is scheduled to run through March 13th.
