A large amount of Spokane residents decided to get a little bit of country in, last weekend at the Spokane County Interstate Fair. Organizers of the fair reported they had an increased number of fair attendees this year.
Organizers said they saw 2,105 more people go through the gates in one weekend compared to the numbers back in 2011. Nearly 1,000 of those people attended the first day of the fair which was the Kalispel Tribe's Kids day.
The fair also said the rodeo on September 8 sold out with nearly 600 more tickets that last year.
Organizers also reported the Jake Owen concert on September 11, has sold out as well. That means the entire general admissions section in the grandstands, the floor section, the beer garden, the golden circle and the north grandstands seats will be filled. The concert will go down in fair history as the biggest selling event at the fair.
The fair will continue until September 17. You can find out more information here.
