Just two days before its doors open for the first time, the Mobius Science Center is getting a lovely "housewarming" gift.
JP Morgan Chase will present an $80,000 donation to Mobius to support its efforts teaching science skills to Spokane's under-served children through the the Boys and Girls Club. The reception takes place at the Science Center, 811 W. Main Ave., at 6:00 p.m. tomorrow (Wednesday.) The donation brings Mobius within $150,000 of meeting its nearly $30 million capital campaign, launched back in 2006.
The Science Center opens its doors this Friday at 10:00 a.m. The 26,000 square foot facility will host 75 hands-on exhibits, including a working hovercraft. For information about admission prices, membership, camps and more, visit the Mobius website or the Science Center's Facebook page.
