Low-income seventh and eighth grade students who sign a pledge by June 30 of their eighth grade year are eligible for a College Bound Scholarship. This program is particularly important to Spokane Public Schools, since more than half of our students qualify for free or reduced-price meals.

This year the park is unveiling a new ride at Boulder Beach called Ricochet Rapids.

On Friday more than 100 real estate agents and staff from local Windermere Offices are taking the day off to help restore Spokane County’s Gleneden Park.

Along with giving the park a good spring cleaning, the volunteers will plant new trees, enhance the trail, re-stripe the parking lot and basketball court and, install a new bike rack.
